Description:

    This is an object stored in a stasis field from ancient times (could be many billions of years old).  It requires the ability to break the stasis field to get at the alien artifact inside, but in the meantime it provides an example of a stasis field for your scientists to work toward.
    While you find this object in a particular location, there is no need to examine it in-situ.  You can take it back to an established research facility to add the Stasis Field trait (and one Stasis Field object) to the characteristics of that facility.
