Description:
    Artificial intelligence is the ability for a complicated thinking being to exist within a computing device.  This thing could think like a member of your species, or not.  The main upshot of this is that the computer infrastructure can provide creativity as well as computation.  This is something of a game breaker if the main limit on development has always been available creativity (as it appears to be in the real world).  Also, manufacturing/mining/etc. become possible with actually zero people.  This means that the expansion of such industries is no longer limited by the available populaiton at all.
    Realistically, this should change almost everything, but I'm being conservative for now.  If you think I'm wrong, let me know.
