Electronic Computers

Prerequisites:
Required Theory:
Required or Contributory Development:
  • Algorithms
  • Electronics (dev)
  • Physics Mathematics
  • Pure Mathematics
Contributory or Required Observations:
  • Knowledge of a type of computers

Description:
Electronic computers are the type of computers most real-world humans think of as simply "computers".  They are complex devices built out of electronic components capable of performing highly complex tasks if properly programmed.  The quanta of electronic computers that have occurred so far are: q1: relay-based, q2: transistor-based, q3: 2-dimensional intetrated circuit-based.  The proposed fourth quantum is 3-d integrated circuit-based.  Each quantum requires exponentially more research to develop, but delivers exponentially more powerful results.

Provides:
Allows Theory:
  • Electronic Computers 2: Transistor-based
