Description:
The theory of
evolution (started by Charles Darwin in the real world), describes the
inheriting descent of organisms through long spans of time to develop
different organisms. The theory of evolution (as well as
taxonomy) holds when a new organism class (ie from a different planet)
is discovered, but development of evolution, as well as biochemistry
and genetics must be worked out from scratch for each new organism
category. At high levels of development, new organisms within a
category can be created evolutionarily even if genetic engineering for
that category is not available (although it is far slower and less
efficient than genetic engineering). The breeding of domestic
animals through manual selection is an example of the use of evolution
engineering technology.
