Relativity

Prerequisites:
Required Theory:
Required or Contributory Development:
  • Newtonian Mechanics
  • Physics Mathematics
  • Pure Mathematics
Contributory or Required Observations:
  • Observation that Lightspeed is Constant (req)
  • 2

Description:
This is (in the real world) Albert Einstein's attempt to reconcile the observation that lightspeed is a constant with, well, everything else.  It eventually included startling (but since observed to be true) predictions that time slows down from a fast-moving traveler's perspective, and that the path of light itself is bent by strong gravity.  (Both special and general relativity are included here.)
