Description:
This is the
technology of automating power tools. Rather than having a
sentient being control the functions provided by power tools, their
functioning can be (at least partially) automated, allowing fewer
sentients to control more machinery. Improved user interfaces
allow fewer sentients to control more robotic equipment.
Static robots are those that do not contain a
self-contained power supply. They are reliant on some fixed
source of energy, such as electric current.
