    This is a branch of physics that focuses on the concept that all of the particles in the universe are manifestations of a more fundamental process of certain one-dimensional objects existing in higher-dimensional environments.  The different vibration frequencies, lengths, energies, etc. of these one-dimensional object produce all observed effects.
    As this theory has yet to produce any practically useful results, this is currently just a possible place to attach orphan technologies.
